SEEDING AND POOLS

  1. Seeding will be based on ratings and classification system.
  2. After normal seeding, pools will be based on which high school the fencer attends first, before considering the fencer's club.
  3. PLEASE NOTE: It is possible that there may be fencers from the same fencing club in pools who attend different high schools. The idea is to keep fencers representing the same high school from fencing each other, not necessarily from the same fencing club. Pools may be changed if necessary to keep in line with USA Fencing protocols after normal seeding and high school consideration.

AWARDS

All events will have separate individual and high school team awards.

  1. Individual awards: Top 4 fencers in each event will receive medals and ratings, if earned.
  2. High school awards: A separate point system will be used for high schools that comprise a team. A high school team needs a minimum of three fencers, three males or three females. Each fencer can fence in multiple events. Schools may enter as many fencers as they have for each event; however, only the top three fencers in each event count toward team points. Awards to the school with the most points overall.
