EVENT SCHEDULE Saturday February 6: INDIVIDUAL 8:30 Senior Men's Foil 9:30 Senior Women's Epee 11:30 Senior Men's Epee 13:00 Senior Women's Foil 14:30 Senior Men's Sabre 15:30 Senior Women's Sabre Sunday February 7: TEAM 8:30 Men's Foil, Women's Epee 11:30 Men's Epee, Women's Foil 14:30 Men's Sabre, Women's Sabre PRIZES INDIVIDUAL EVENT MEDALISTS WILL RECEIVE CASH PRIZES according to the following structure: GOLD: MINIMUM 20% Total Event Registration Fee SILVER: MINIMUM 10% Total Event Registration Fee BRONZE: MINIMUM 5% Total Event Registration Fee For example: events with 50 participants will guarantee cash prizes of at least $500, $250, and $125 for Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalists. PREREGISTRATION AND FEES: Pre-registration closes on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at midnight and is only accepted on AskFred. Registrations after January 31, 2016 are considered late and face a doubling in fees per event. Late registration for the Team Events will be subject to availability. Team Events are subject to a maximum registration of 10 teams per event. EVENT FEES $50 per INDIVIDUAL event if registration is received by January 31, 2016 at midnight. $120 per TEAM event event. Registrations received after January 31, 2016 at midnight will incur double fees: $100 per SENIOR event. All fees are to be paid at the door, CASH, CHEQUE OR DEBIT ONLY. NO CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Cheques should be payable to "Vango Toronto Fencing Inc". COMPETITION AGE CATEGORIES Competition age categories will be enforced according to the CFF Age Category Definitions. Fencers must be at least 12 years of age as of December 31, 2015 to participate in the INDIVIDUAL events only. https://www.fencing.ca/content/competition-age-categories COMPETITION FORMAT Individual events: One round of pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination tableau. Team events: One round of pools with 80% promotion to direct elimination tableau. GENERAL INFORMATION The Vango Open is sanctioned by the Ontario Fencing Association and the Canadian Fencing Federation. Results from INDIVIDUAL events will be submitted for CFF Domestic Ranking purposes. TEAM events are JFF (Just For Fun) and results will not be submitted for any ranking purposes. This competition will be run according to current FIE regulations. The Directoire Technique reserves the right to apply or modify these regulations as they see fit as according to section t.15 of the FIE Rules. All participants are required to have an active CFF Fencing License or an equivalent license from the participant's home institute. You may purchase/renew your license via the Canadian Fencing Federation website in real time: https://www.fencing.ca/content/membership-registration USFA members must show a valid USFA membership card. Please enter your USFA membership number in the "CFF License" field. All fencers are REQUIRED to wear a sous plastron as well as fencing pants with long socks so that the legs are fully protected. Track pants will not be permitted as substitutions for fencing pants. All foil fencers are REQUIRED to have a conductive foil bib. Participants that enter in multiple events may be required to fence multiple bouts without breaks. Should conflicts arise, participants may be asked to withdraw from an event.
