The second annual Bearcat Classic will include four USFA-sanctioned events; C & under foil, epee, and saber; and unrated foil. All-day parking will be available in the nearby Woodside Garage for $1. First weapon $15, $10 for each additional event.

The University of Cincinnati Fencing Club and the Cincinnati Fencing Club present the second annual Bearcat Classic. The tournament will be Saturday, May 23 at the University of Cincinnati's Campus Recreation Center. There will be four events:
  • C & under foil (Registration closes at 9 a.m. May 23.)
  • C & under saber (Registration closes at noon May 23.)
  • C & under epee (Registration closes at 2 p.m. May 23.)
  • Unrated foil (Registration closes at 3:30 p.m. May 23.)
In each case, fencing will begin shortly after registration closes. The registration fee for fencing a single event is $15. Each additional event costs $10. USFA membership is required. If you are not a current member of the USFA, applications will be available at registration table. If you have never been a member of the USFA, a membership purchased at the tournament will be valid through July 2010. If you have previously been a member of the USFA, and must renew your membership at the tournament, your membership will be valid through July 2009. Working electric fencing equipment -- weapons, body chords, etc. -- are also required for every event. DIRECTIONS:
  1. From Interstate 75, take the Mitchell Avenue exit (#6)
  2. Turn right at the Bottom of the off ramp.
  3. Turn left at the next traffic light onto Kennard Avenue.
  4. Turn left at the dead end onto Clifton Avenue.
  5. Proceed up and over Clifton Hill and toward UC.
  6. Turn left onto Martin Luther King Drive, just past Burnett Woods.
  7. Turn right onto Woodside Drive.
  8. The Woodside Garage will be on the right.
  9. After you park, continue up Woodside Drive, onto the plaza, and toward the building pictured on this page:
