TN School Fencing Championship

Welcome to the TN School Fencing Series. This is the listing for the CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT
TLDR:
- All school-aged fencers born 2007-2013 are encouraged to compete. All skill levels are welcome. This event is the last in the series. The overall champions will be awarded after this event. Details to follow.
- There are 3 total events. Men's and Women's Foil and Epee Grand Champions will be determined from results across all 3 events.
- You will be asked separately to provide information about your School and Grade to be eligible for the overall series title.
- You can compete in 1, 2, or all 3 events.
- You can meet other school aged fencers from across TN and test your skills against them.
- You can enjoy the thrill of having a competitive season dedicated to fencing in TN.

Events in the Series
The school program and championship will be run as a Series through which fencers will earn school points (note: these points are separate from USA Fencing regional and national lists and will be calculated by the TN Division). The points leaders at the end will be the overall champions. There are 3 events.

- Nashville Challenge RJC, Feb 21-22, Murfreesboro, TN, This is a USA Fencing sanctioned event. Registration is through USA Fencing website. How to Earn School Points
Fencers will earn points at each event based on the USA FENCING regional points system where the winner earns 100 points and other competitors earn points based on their finish and the total number of competitors; this championship will award double points. Only TN division fencers that are participating in the School Series will be included on any points lists. The school points lists maintained by the TN Division will not count towards any regional or national ranking or any qualification for USA Fencing events.
What Ages Can Participate?
As of February 2026, fencers born 2007-2013 can compete in Junior events. This enables fencers as young as middle school to participate. We intend for the event to be competitive but also to be educational for fencers that are new to competition. Only TN school students are eligible for the points lists although any fencer of the required age may participate
Other Requirements
You can participate in the championship in one or both weapons even if you did not compete in any other events. You may participate in the events and not be included on the points list if that is your desire. To be included on the points list, we will request additional information from you after you register including School and Grade information which you must provide to be included. If you wish to be on the list but have not attended prior events, please message the organizer through askfred and we will coordinate that for you.
