This is the 10th annual Murphy's Irish City Open! This tournament celebrates the life of one of the most influential fencing coaches in Pittsburgh history. Charles Murphy.
"MICO" will feature mixed open events for all 3 Weapons. As well as an E-under mixed Foil, a women's E- under Foil, and Y-12 mixed Foil. The tournament has a St. Patrick's day vibe. There will be Irish music and decorations. The top 4 fencers in each event will be awarded a special MICO medal. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase at the venue.
Upon arrival, all USFA regulated equipment will be required and checked with the bout committee. Make sure that you have a current USFA membership ready when checking in at the event.
Registration fees if pre-registered on FRED: $35.00 for the first event, $30.00 for each additional event.
Registration fees if you are a day of walk in: $40.00 for the first event, $35.00 for each additional event.
