WNY Qualifiers for JOs

Qualifiers for Junior Olympic Fencing Championships (JOs). The top 3* fencers in each event qualify to fence at the JOs in Memphis, TN, February 12-15. (*If more than 12 fencers, top 25% qualify.) >>> All JUNIOR (U20) events will begin at 2:00pm. >>> All CADET (U17) events will begin at 3:00pm. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PRE-REGISTRATION FOR ALL EVENTS BY MONDAY, DECEMBER 14th IS REQUIRED. You may NOT register for any qualifier at the door. Those that qualify may participate in the 2010 Junior Olympic Championships, which are to be held in Memphis, Tennesee between February 12th and 15th. For more details, visit http://usfencing.org/pages/4262 ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ If 3 or fewer fencers pre-register for any event by the deadline at midnight on 12/14/09, qualifiers for that event will not need to be held. Those fencers that have pre-registered by that time will be considered representatives for the WNY Division by default. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ All USFA rules will be enforced. All participants must be current members of the WNY Division of the USFA. If you are not a USFA member already, you may sign-up at the door (USFA membership dues are $60/season), or you may join/renew here: https://www.usfencing.hangastar.com/ Please make sure that your equipment is in working order BEFORE each event, including masks, cords, lames, weapons, etc. Make sure to bring at least 2 working weapons and 2 working cords for each event. Knickers and underarm protectors will be required. To participate in the Junior Olympic Championships, your name must be printed on your uniform, per USFA regulations. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Registration fee = $20 per event All registration fees may be paid in person upon arrival. Again, NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Preregistration will be open immediately. Preregistration closes on 12/14/2009.
