GFA is hosting small sanctioned open Mixed Sabre, Mixed Foil & Mixed Epee events for unrated fencers for Friday Night Fights! Come out for some local action and have some stabby fun!

Greensboro Fencing Academy welcomes all unrated Foil, Epee & Saber fencers to our open events.

  1. Awards are given to the top 4 fencers in each event.


Registration for the tournament will close on Wednesday 10pm before the tournament.

  1. This is done in order to get an accurate number of competitors and be able to adjust start times as needed and arrange for referees.
  2. This also means that you may be refused if registering late or at the door.

The listed start times are not hard set and may change due to participation and some events may be combined.

  1. This lets us start a quite bit later with smaller numbers of fencers (4 to 8), if needed.
  2. For larger turnouts (12 to 18), we will need to start as close to 6:30pm as possible.


Proof or USA Fencing membership (access membership is enough) is required. http://www.usfencing.org/membership

  1. Please check/update your membership with USA Fencing and your AskFRED profile to correctly reflect your membership status.


Fencers who do not have a USA Fencing membership will be required to complete a membership/payment prior to the tournament start.

  1. This could be a considerable delay to the start time for your event. Therefore, we ask the fencers to please do this prior to arriving on Saturday.
