N Texas Div Junior Olympic Qualifiers

FRED Announces the N Texas Div Junior Olympic Qualifiers This qualifier is open only to North Texas Division USFA competitive members. Remember, it is the fencer's responsibility to show PROOF of USFA membership. If you registered on line, you may print a membership card from the USFA web site. If you mailed or faxed payment, you may request an email confirmation from: information@usfencing.org Do NOT rely on the tournament to have internet access! If you can not show proof of membership, you may be asked to complete a new membership form with a credit card number or check payable to the USFA. Attempt will be made after the tournament to verify you membership; however, if the Division is not successful, your membership form will be faxed. If we are able to obtain verification, we will shred the membership form and/or check. You must also have a properly signed waiver of participation. After 10 PM on 17 December and at the door:
• $75 registration fee

REFUND POLICY Refund of event fees and registration less $10 will be made if notification is received prior to 10 PM on 17 December. Send an email to: info@fenceintexas.org If notification is received after 10 PM on 17 December, but before the start of the event, a refund of 50% of the total of event and registration fees will be made. There are no refunds for fencers notifying us after the start of the event, or for fencers withdrawing from competition. Top 25% in the event qualify for the Junior Olympic Championships. Fencers who qualify for JUNIOR become automatic qualifiers for CADET if they meet the birth year requirements. If there are only three entries, the event will not be fenced as all three entries will qualify; however, you must be at the venue and pay for the event. JO's will be held February 12-15, 2010, in Memphis, TN. Junior birth years are 1990-1996 Cadet birth years are 1993-1996 Fencers who do not meet the birth year requirement but are on the National Rolling Points List for the next lower age group may compete. If you have trouble registering on askfred because of your birth year, contact Brenda Waddoups: info@fenceintexas.org Fencers must wear appropriate fencing attire and have proper working equipment. All events are fenced electronically. At this time, you do not need to have your name on your clothing; however, this is a requirement to compete at JO's. The event format is one round of seeding pools with 100% promoted to direct eliminations. Men's and Women's events shall be fenced separately.
