This is an unsanctioned developmental tournament designed for newly competitive fencers.

The Y10 & Y12 events are an unsanctioned, developmental tournament designed for newly competitive fencers. Extra time will be taken to explain the rules, structure, and format of the tournament. USA fencing rules will be followed but no penalties will be awarded. In the case of a rule violation the rule will be explained and discussed and then fencing will continue without the issuing of penalty cards. These events are meant to provide young fencers with a tournament experience within a safe, comfortable, low stress atmosphere.

The Y14 event is unsanctioned but all USA fencing rules will be followed and penalty cards will be awarded when necessary. While this event is not considered developmental, the goal remains to provide a comfortable, low stress environment for newly competitive fencers and experienced fencers alike. Referees will be happy to take the time to answer any questions that fencers may have about rules and formats.
