Roffalo Open

The first open three-weapon tournament tri-hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology, University at Buffalo, and University of Rochester's Fencing Clubs! All experience levels welcome. USA Fencing membership not required. Events Scheduled: Mixed EpeeMixed FoilMixed Saber Preregistration opens on 12/04/2019. Preregistration closes on 04/17/2020. ENTRY FEES Registration Fees: $20.00 for first event Each Additional Event: $10.00 Free for spectators, but athletic shoes required for everyone in venue. EQUIPMENT Plastrons and long pants are required. Jeans prohibited. Foils and sabres must have lames. Foils must have an electric bib on their mask. Only masks will be checked prior to competition. No weights and shims unless requested. We will not have gear to lend. LOCATION The tournament will be held in Ed Wright Practice Facility which is located on the ground floor of Alumni Arena room 76 at University at Buffalo. DIRECTIONS If you are entering Alumni Arena through the front (w/ the “Buffalo” sign): Walk straight through the entire floor that you enter on until you reach a set of stairs near vending machines. Go down the stairs and then turn right just before exiting the building. Go through the set of doors there. Make a right at the end of the hallway and go straight until you reach the Practice Facility. If you are entering Alumni Arena through the back (closest to the football stadium): Do not go up the stairs, enter the set of doors on your left. Make a right at the end of the hallway and then continue straight until you reach the Practice Facility. -- All fencers must sign a liability waiver. Any fencers who are under 18 years old must have a parent/guardian sign on their behalf. If the waiver is not completed, you will not be allowed to fence. -- We hope to see you there!
