Welcome to the slightly delayed (2 months) 10th Annual Bruno Invitational Epee tournament. This year we honor our late friend, Peter Power, of the Spindletop Cavaliers, one of the four founders of this tournament. Events Scheduled: 21 & Over Mixed Epee Close of registration - 9:00 AM REGISTRATION FEE: $40.00 (includes entry to the wine-tasting) All fencing fees to be paid in CASH! (exact change) This is an unsanctioned event. The COVID-19 protocols for this tournament will be posted here in the near future. This is a closed tournament. Priority of place will go to those who have competed in it previously. There is a maximum cap of 16 fencers (two pools of eight). This is held at a winery and the prizes consist of wine. NO ONE UNDER 21 MAY COMPETE/PARTICIPATE. Please do NOT pre-register if you are not certain you will attend. Winery Link: http://www.brunoandgeorge.com/ Sour Lake, TX Link: http://cityofsourlake.com/ The registration is applied to the wine-tasting event for the competitors, which begins for each upon being eliminated, and the prizes. First place wins four bottles of their choice of wines. Second place wins three bottles. Third place (tie) fencers win two bottles each. Non-fencing guests are welcome and may participate in the wine-tasting ($10.00). Those only participating in the wine tasting do not pre-register on FRED, but may message the organizers at john@trojanowski.com simply to let us keep a good estimate of our numbers. Fencers should know in advance that, due to space considerations, the fencing pistes will not be of regulation length. (The current best guess sets them at =/< 10 meters). This is an outdoor tournament and being held a bit later into the spring than usual. Be sure to stay hydrated... with water! Swords & wine! What could possibly go wrong? Preregistration opens on 04/29/2021. Preregistration closes on 05/06/2021.
