Saber Fencing practice, great warm up for JO's! Open to all. Will be warm up then fencing 5 and 15 touch bouts.
All-day sabre practice at West MI Fencing Academy (WMFA), in collaboration with Renaissance Fencing Club, Troy, MI, and RedStar Fencing Club, Chicago, IL. Open to all.
WMFA has a $20 floor fee for the day, plus whatever your particular club is charging to cover Coach's gas and time. Please bring $20 cash, check - payable to WMFA - the day of the practice for the floor fee. Coach fees will be charged however you normally pay at your club.
Format will be check-in, warm-up and fence bouts. There will be rounds of 5 and 15-touch bouts, so tons of fencing. This is designed for you to fence different people, as you do at tournaments, and to fence all day. You will have way more bouting than if you were to attend a tournament.
Schedule: 10am Eastern Standard Time - 4/5 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)! Super important for those of you on CST, as in Grand Rapids, we are using EST.
There will be a break for lunch.
Bring plenty of water/Gatorade, healthy snacks of choice, and lunch if you don't want to go out. Clean clothes for the ride home - your parents will thank you!
