Tennessee Secondary School Saber Championships

Fencers currently attending school in grades 6-12 in Tennessee, please consider yourself invited to the 2016 TN Secondary School Saber Fencing Championships! ***** Venue Cheney Fencing Studio 209 South Royal Oaks Blvd #188 Franklin TN 37064 Women's Saber 11am Men's Saber, 11am If there are fewer than 7 women, we will combine the events into one. ***** Individual Format: One Round of Pools followed by Direct Elimination Table to a final with no fence off for 3rd. Team Format: Team results will be decided by the top 5 results of each school's individual performers using the USA Fencing's Division 1 point index. ***** Representation of the participating fencers/teams will be: 1) Traditional Students: The Tennessee secondary school you are currently attending 2) Non-Traditional Students (homeschool): The Tennessee homeschool association you are currently attending/registered with: a) Local school district (independent homeschool) b) Church/Umbrella group c) Accredited online school USA Fencing club affiliation is not a consideration. ***** USA Fencing membership is NOT required; however, all USA Fencing rules and equipment requirements/regulations will be observed, including the conductive bib (required at foil, not allowed at epee). USA Fencing ratings can NOT be awarded based on the results of this event. ***** Events Scheduled: Mixed Grades 6-12 Saber Preregistration opens on 04/07/2016. Preregistration closes on 04/29/2016.
