Frosty Fencing Challenge

Events Scheduled: 9:00 Cadet (U17) Men's & Women's Epee 10:00 Cadet (U17) Men's & Women's Saber 12:30 Y12 & Y14 Mixed Epee 1:30 Y12 & Y14 Mixed Saber Cadet - born 1996 or later; Youth-14 – born 1998 or later; Youth-12 – born 2000 or later The above times are for close of registration. Fencing will begin approximately 30 minutes after close of registration. Men’s & women’s events will be combined if there are fewer than 6 entries in either event. Please note that we will not be using regulation length pistes, as the pistes in our salle are slightly shorter. Cadet results will be submitted to the CFF for inclusion in the national domestic rankings. Complete fencing outfit including fencing pants & sous-plastron is required for the Cadet events. Track pants may be worn for the Youth events. Format: minimum of one round of pools with no fencers eliminated, followed by direct elimination. The Y14 & Y12 events will be combined for the first round(s) of pools, & the Y12s will then have a separate round of direct eliminations following the conclusion of the Y14 event. Entry fees are $30 for the first event & $20 for each additional event (Y14 & Y12 are considered as one event for payment), payable at the door. All fencers must have a current OFA or equivalent membership (Cadet – Excellence, Youth – Transition) and provide a CFF license number. Preregistration opens on 11/21/2012. Preregistration closes on 12/13/2012.
