The Fencing Club at UAH invites you to the UAH Rocket City Open 2026 with three sanctioned events.
UAH Fencing Club warmly welcomes the fencing community for the UAH ROCKET CITY OPEN 2026, with events in Epee and Foil. Events will be capped.

- D & under Epee (Registration/Check-in closes at 8:30 am (CT))
- Mixed Foil (Registration/Check-in closes at 11:30 am (CT))
- Mixed Epee (Registration/Check-in closes at 2:00 pm (CT))
- Event times are subject to change. If 3 or less people show up to an event, the event will be cancelled.
Tournament Fees: $10 Registration Fee + $35 per event
Preregistration for this event will close at 11:59PM CT on 4/10. A-Rated Fencers fence free. B-Rated Fencers will get $10 off of their events. Collegiate teams that provide strips will have their fencers receive a $5 discount on their first event.
We require that TWO (2) waivers be signed. We will have paper copies at the tournament. People 19 or younger need to have the waiver signed by a parent, as per Alabama law. All fencers need to sign and submit the waiver form at the registration desk or submit digitally through an email to thefencingclub@uah.edu.

Spectators are welcome and are not required to sign waivers.
AGE: Fencers must be at least 13 years of age in the year of the tournament. This means your date of birth must be no later than Dec 31, 2012.
Fees can be paid in cash, check, PayPal, Cashapp, Zelle, or Venmo at the registration table. Walk-in fencers will be accepted for each event should there be space for their event. Masks and gloves will be checked during registration. Each fencer must have an extra body cord (mask cords where necessary) and an additional weapon near the strip. All foil fencers with chest protectors must comply with the soft cover rule. Fencers competing in multiple events on the same day should check in for all events at once. P-Card rules will be used in situations of noncom.
This event will be held at the UAH Fitness Center, found at 500 John Wright Dr NW, Huntsville, AL. The Fitness Center will be open at 7:30 AM. Parking is reserved for UAH officials and competitors next to the Fitness Center.
Referees: We are still looking for refs for all our events. If you are interested please email thefencingclub@uah.edu with your full name and capabilities. You must be SafeSport certified with current referee certifications at the date of the tournament. Format and referee details will be sent in an email after discussing with our head ref.
