Get ready for an electrifying afternoon at Davis Fencing Academy of Miami! On Saturday, December 13th at 2pm, we’re hosting our Fall Afterschool Team Competition—a high-energy showdown where youth fencers from North Beach Elementary, True North Classical Academy, and Alexander Montessori will battle it out in a team-style tournament.

This is the moment we have trained for all session!

It’s time to test those newly learned skills, represent your school colors, and cheer on teammates in our fencing hall with fully electrically scored and Olympic-length strips.

Prerequisites

USA Fencing membership is required (Access-level is $34 for the 2025-26 season ending July 31st, 2026).

Be a part of a current or former afterschool program

Team members must all be of the same school affiliation (no mixed teams)

Competition Format:

Each team may include up to 4 members (3 competitors + 1 alternate)

Scoring will be similar to an Olympic competition! Teams will progress through individual bouts where each member will face opposing team members to a final score.

With enough participation, we may have a Youth 8 and Under group, and a Y10/12 combined group (ages 9-11).

Payment information:

Entry Fee: $75 per team.

Payment via Zelle to Jeff Davis at 305-748-0700

Cash or check is also acceptable

What to Bring:

We’ve got all the competitive gear covered! Gear includes mask, jacket, knickers, body cord, epee and glove.

Just come dressed in long socks (over the calf or knee), closed toe sneakers, athletic clothing, and don’t forget your water bottle!

Whether you're fencing or cheering, this is a celebration of skill, sportsmanship, and school pride. Let the bouts begin!
