New Year's Epee Open

Sleep in and then start the New Year with a 2008 rating! Lots of fencing for everyone! Events Scheduled: Senior Mixed Round Robin Epee 10:30 AM We will fence a round robin - one big pool round - followed by DEs. Pool bouts may be 10 touches or 5 touches, depending on event size. Senior Mixed Random Draw Team Epee 2 PM (or the finish of the Round Robin Epee event) Here's what happens - rather than signing up as a team, each fencer signs up individually. The day of the event, all those who show will be divided into thirds (top, middle, and bottom) based on results from the round robin event and/or the bout committee. Teams will then be randomly selected (one team member from each level). Must have a minimum of 6 OR we will have to get creative... Venue: Sword Sports, 447 N. Market, Shreveport, LA 71107 Fees: $10 for the day (one or both events) payable at the door. Late fee of $5 if you do not pre-register on FRED by 7pm 12/31/07. USFA membership required. Full fencing attire and a signed Ark-La-Miss waiver are also required. For fencers under 18 years old, USFA membership form and/or waiver must have a parent/guardian's signature.
