Join us for our first in-house tournament of the new year! This is a great event for RCFC fencers to get started in competition.
NOTE SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to snow forecast for the 8th, this tournament has been moved to Saturday, February 22nd.
Event Schedule:
- 9:30 AM - Doors open
- 10:00 AM - Youth-8, Youth-12, Senior Epee
- 10:30 AM - Youth-10, Youth-14 Foil
- 1:30 PM - Youth-10, Youth-14 Epee
- 2:00 PM - Youth-8, Youth-12, Senior Foil
All times are close of check-in. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your check-in time. Note, fencers may not fence in two events at the same time. All events will be fenced mixed.
For all events, format will be one round of pools, 100% promotion to direct elimination, with medals for the top 4.
Entry fee is $30 per event. RCFC members: let us if you would prefer to have the entry fee billed to your account.
Current (2024-2025) USA Fencing membership is required. The Access level membership required for insurance purposes is sufficient. If necessary, please join or renew online at https://member.usafencing.org/ before the event, to speed up check-in.
Full regulation uniform, including underarm protector, fencing pants and long socks, is required.
All foil fencers at all competition levels must have masks with conductive bibs. RCFC has electric foil masks, mask cords, and retrofit kits for BG "Olympic" masks available for sale. Epee fencers may not use a foil or saber mask with any conductive surface.
Foil fencers who wear a hard plastic chest protector must use an FIE-approved padded protector. We have a limited quantity of the new protectors available for sale. Chest protectors are still required for female fencers, optional for male fencers.
Youth-8 and Youth-10 fencers must use #2 or shorter blades.
Age eligibility:
- Youth-8: born 2016-2017
- Youth-10: born 2014-2017
- Youth-12: born 2012-2015
- Youth-14: born 2010-2013
- Senior: born 2011 or earlier
