K-Town Youth Sabre Challenge

Events Scheduled: Y10 Women's Saber Y10 Men's Saber Y12 Women's Saber Y12 Men's Saber Y14 Women's OSG Qualifier Saber Y14 Men's OSG Qualifier Saber Cadet (U17) Women's OSG Qualifier Sabe Cadet (U17) Men's OSG Qualifier Saber Junior (U20) Women's Saber Junior (U20) Men's Saber The Kingston Fencing Club is pleased to host the K-Town Youth Sabre Challenge, a regional qualifying tournament for the 2016 Ontario Summer Games (OSG's). This event is sanctioned by the Ontario Fencing Association (OFA). Points garnered from this tournament will be applied to OSG qualifying standings. Please note that the tournament will be held at Welborne Public School (see map for directions) and NOT at the Kingston Fencing Club. FEES Total: $55.00* Cdn per event (*includes HST) Registration online only please. Payment before March 7th by credit card, cheque or e-transfer. Registration at the door (if numbers permit) and after March 7th - add an extra $20 cash per event. FORMAT The tournament will be run in accordance with FIE and CFF rules and regulations, subject to the interpretations of the Directoire Technique. INDIVIDUAL EVENTS Separate events for Men and Women. In the case where an event has fewer than six competitors registered, the format will be determined by article 13.11 of the CFF Rules and Regulations. For Men's and Women's Y12 & Y10 sabre events an OFA Recreational license ($35.00) is required only. The use of electric sabre equipment will still be required. EQUIPMENT CHECK Equipment will be checked and tested by the tournament armourer before each event. A complete electric sabre outfit (no track pants) is required, minimum 350 NW. All participants are subject to Section t.15 of the FIE rules.
