GFA Pre-Season Camp Tournament (Open to public)

GFA Pre-Season Camp Tournament Competition is open to outside campers. Y-14 Mixed Foil & Mixed Open Foil. NJ Division of the USFA sanctioned event and "New Jersey Cup" event. New Jersey Cup: New Jersey Cups are awarded in each weapon/gender based on points accumulated in New Jersey Division Opens during the fencing season. The Cups are available to any fencer who competes in NJ Division-sanctioned Opens. One does not have to be a NJ Division member to earn points and win a Cup. A Gold Cup will be awarded to the points leader, a NJ Silver Cup will be awarded to the season-long runner-up, and the NJ Bronze Cup will be awarded to the third highest point total in each of the six events. www.NJfencing.org Events Scheduled: Y14 Mixed Foil:Check in closes at 1:00pm Senior Mixed Foil: Check in closes at 1:00pm Fencers must meet USFA birth year requirements. 2010-11 USFA Birth Year Eligibility: Y14 = 1996-1999 Senior Open: 1997 and earlier VISOR MASKS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Fees and payment: AT THE DOOR ONLY Campers: $10 Non-Campers: $30 with pre-registration $35 for registration on the day of the event All fencers must wear required full fencing attire and bring at least 2 working weapons and 2 working body cords. Youth events do not use the E1 or D1 classifications. This means that these events are "NR" until they achieve a C1 level or higher. You must have valid USFA membership - you MUST show your USFA card or have proof that payment has been made. You may join at the door - but please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the close of check-in in order to fill out the USFA membership forms. TOURNAMENT FORMAT Only official USFA ratings will be used. One round of pools with 100% promotion to Direct Elimination rounds.
