James Madison University Open (at Richmond Fencing Club)

PARKING AT VENUE ANNOUNCEMENT - IMPORTANT - There is currently construction going on around the fencing club which makes parking a bit different. Street parking is available and there is also parking in the lot area off street, as well as the lot near Brambly Park (that area is available even if you do not go to the restaurant). Please do not park in front of or block any loading docks. Our neighbors get deliveries and they will tow any car that blocks them. Use caution when going down Carlton Street due to the temporary fence due to construction.

NOTES:

12/1 9pm - Unpaid pre-registrations for D3 Mixed Epee have been notified that they have until 12pm tomorrow (Tuesday) to pay for their event, or else their pre-registration will be deleted.

12/2 1PM - pre-registrations deleted for D3 Mixed Epee. 2 spots remain.

12/3 9AM - D3XE is full. 2 spots remain for D3XF. Registration closes at midnight, No Walk Ins. Spots may open for people who do not show, there's no guarantee and it's FCFS.

The 2025 JMU Fall Open IS A CLUB FUNDRAISER and will be held on December 6th and 7th at the RICHMOND FENCING CLUB, in Richmond, VA. Sr Mixed, and D3 events beginning at 9AM with medals to the 8. $35 event Fee must be PrePaid here on AskFred by 12/3/2025 at MIDNIGHT No Exceptions will be made for incomplete registrations.

All net profit of this event goes to support the James Madison University Fencing Club.

The James Madison University Fencing Club has organized this event with the VA Division, and the division promises a well-run college club event with highly rated referees and bout committee. Events will be competed on a nine grounded metal strips..

Unpaid preregistrations will be deleted after the registration close date of 12/3/2025. Requests to be added to the event after the tournament close WILL BE DECLINED, due to space or referee limitations. CAPS may be put in place to support facility space maximums or the ability to hire quality referees to ensure a smooth tournament.

You are HIGHLY encouraged to register AND pay at the same time to reserve your space and to give the organizers - who want to ensure the best possible experience - the opportunity to find good referees to ensure a smooth and well-managed event.
