Events
• Under-15 / Y14 (born 2011 – 2014)
• Under-13 / Y12 (born 2013 – 2016)
• Under-11 / Y10 (born 2015 – 2018)
• Under-9 / Y8 (born 2017 – 2020)
Registration closes Sunday, May 24th, 2026 at 11:59pm.
Late registrations will be considered at the discretion of the tournament
organizer.

$50 Administration Fee +
$70 Per Event Fee (Youth)
Late registration fees (after May 24): $180 per event
Refund Policy
If the participant wishes to withdraw from the competition prior to the registration deadline, the Admin fee and the Event fee will be refunded.
Once the registration deadline has passed, if the participant wishes to withdraw, ONLY the event fee will be refunded.
Once the tournament has started (8:00am Saturday), there will be NO refunds provided. NO exceptions.
THIS WILL BE HEAVILY ENFORCED.
Competition Formats
U-9 Format
All events will be mixed gender.
Fencers are seeded using the OFA ranking into best fit pools of 7 or 8.
There will be one round of pools with all participants promoted.
Advancement into Direct Elimination (D.E.) will be ranked on the results
from the pools in accordance with FIE rules.
Pool bout will be 3 minutes or 5 points.
D.E bouts will be 2 round of 3 minutes or 8 points
Medals will be awarded to the top four spots of the event. There is no fencing for third place.
U-11 Format
Events are planned as separate events but may be combined if there are fewer than 6 registrants in one gender. If combined, both a combined and separate women’s DE will be held.

License
All participants are required to have an active Competitive CFF/OFA
Fencing License or an equivalent license from the participant’s home federation.
All Canadian fencers are expected to hold a Canadian license. You may purchase/renew your license via the Canadian Fencing Federation website in real time.
All international participants are required to present documentation confirming that they hold an active membership with their home federation, or a current, active FIE license.

Blade Sizes
U-9 Foil/Epee – size 0-2 blades required
U-9 Sabre – Plastic Sabre (provided by organizers)
U-11 – size 0-2 blades required
U-13 – no special rules regarding the maximum blade length
U-15 – no special rules regarding the maximum blade length

Please note that the OFA supports and encourages all athletes who want to get involved in the fencing community in Ontario in a supportive and safe environment. Any spectators, parents, coaches, or individuals who have an inappropriate and/or disrespectful attitude towards an official, tournament organizer, or staff member will be excluded from the competition.
