Andrew Hu (Former China Men’s Epee National Team Coach and Current Canadian Women’s Epee National Team Coach, Coach for 20+ years with students at Olympic, World Championship & Pan American Level)

When:      August 17-21, 2024 (9:30 AM to 3:00 PM)

           

Where      Toronto Fencing Centre, 50 Prince Andrew Place, Toronto,


Fee:         $120 per day; $70 for half day; $500 for whole camp for TFC member

$150 per day; $80 for half day; $600 for whole camp for non-member

                Half price for University Fencers or Fencers with A ranking in US


Requirement:      Participants must be competitive fencers 10 years or older, Top 4 at Y12 or above in Provincial level events or D ranking at US)        


Registration:       Participants must pre-register on AskFred and send cheque and application form to TFC

                            Entry form with cheque should be send to “Toronto Fencing Club” at 50 Prince Andrew Place, Toronto, Ontario, M3C 2H4 before August

Coaches:             Andrew Hu (Former China Men’s Epee National Team Coach and Current Canadian Women’s Epee National Team Coach, Coach for 20+

years with students at Olympic, World Championship & Pan American Level)

Grace Hu (NCAA Division I fencers and former Cadet & Junior Canadian Women Epee National Team. Top 8 at World Champions, Gold at Pan

American Championship, Coach youth fencers at National Level)          

Chris Granert (Top 16 Y12 US Summer National, Multiple medalists at Youth Provincial level, 15 years coaching)


Camp Description

9:30-11:30     Warm-up Games (outdoor), Footwork Drills, Pair drills, Electric Bouting

1:00-3:00       Seminar, Structured Electric Bouting, Fitness training


Camp Requirements

In addition to regular fencing equipment (mask, jacket, glove,

knickers/track pants), participants will be expected to bring 3-4 working

electric weapons & body wires, indoor court shoes and running shoes for

outdoor trail. Please bring your own lunch or money for restaurants, which are

about a 5-minute walk away.
