Venue Information:

The tournament is held at GFA Fencing Studio inside the Tucson Mall.

  1. 6 Grounded Strips
  2. Ample free parking available (access entrance between Sears & JCPenney)
  3. South West End, lower level. Entrance 3.
  4. Equipment Vendor on-site (German Fencing Gear)

For each event with 20 or more participants, GFG will gift the 1st place winner an FIE blade!

Registration & Fees:

  1. Preregistration closes the day before the event
  2. $20 Tournament Fee (non-refundable).
  3. $15 per event (refundable).
  4. This allows us for proper planning, referee assignment and scheduling.
  5. Waiver Forms may be required at check-in.
  6. Cancellation requests received via AskFRED message 48h prior to the close of Event check in will receive a refund. After that, no refunds are given.
  7. The events may be capped. Contact us if you want to join the wait list.
  8. If the event is under the cap, same day registration are accepted for $50 (cash) per event on a first come, first serve basis.


Fencers:

  1. Please bring proof of current USA Fencing membership and age verification.
  2. Mask-check and glove-checks are mandatory.
  3. Current USA Fencing rules will be applied. (http://www.usfencing.org/usa-fencing-rule-book)
  4. Foreign Fencers with a current Fencing License from their National Federation or with an FIE License will be allowed to fence, but are not covered by USA Fencing Insurance and participate at their own risk. It is recommended that you get a USA Fencing competitive license to be fully covered and also to record your results and rating https://member.usfencing.org/ [Tiradores de otros paises pueden participar si muestran su licencia Nacional o con una licencia FIE. Pero no estan cubiertos por el seguro de la Federacion de los Estados Unidos y participaran bajo su propio riesgo. Por esa razon, es muy recomedable que obtengam una Licencia Competitiva de EE.UU. Tournament Format:

Standard- Single round of pools, 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table.


Equipment Check:

  1. Mask and glove checks will be done at the armory table.
  2. Gloves with holes, rips, tape, or loose seams will not be approved.
  3. Armorers reserve the right to decline any equipment that is not clean and dry.


Officials:

  1. We will do our best to assign rated referees for each event.
