2027 California Parafencing Championships

The California Para Circuit events are open to parafencers of all levels looking to gain valuable competition experience. This event will also serve as the 2027 California Parafencing Championships!
The SoCal Parafencing League is proud to be hosting the first-ever California Parafencing Championships! This will be the third event in the Para Open Circuit series. This regional-styled 3-Weapon event is suitable for all experience levels and will be sanctioned.
The mission of the SoCal Parafencing League is to expand the awareness and presence of Parafencing in Southern California. This event will be the third and final event of the season. Points will be awarded to each competitor based on final placement. An Overall Men's and Women's Champion Trophy will be presented at the end of the season.
Spectators are welcome! This will be a great opportunity to invite friends and family to experience Parafencing! Come watch Paralympic hopefuls in action!
Codes of Conduct: The organizer of this event reserves the right to ask any fencer, coach, or spectator to leave the venue if they are not abiding by the Codes of Conduct adopted by USA Fencing (https://www.usafencing.org/fencesafe-codes-of-conduct).

Schedule: Foil - Saturday 5/23 @ 10am (Men & Women), Sabre - Saturday 5/23 @ 2pm (Men & Women), Epee - Sunday 5/24 @ 10am (Men & Women). Men's and Women's events will be run separately.
Membership: USA Fencing 'Competitive' membership is required.
Equipment: Proper competition clothing (including long socks and fencing pants) and electric equipment are required to participate.
Format: 1 round of pools followed by direct elimination.
Para Equipment: Wheelchair frames (4), scoring machines, and Jed's chairs will be provided by the Burbank Parafencing Center. Two grounded metal strips will be used for the final bouts.
Awards: Medals for the Top 4 places will be donated by the Amy M. Fortune Foundation.
