Fencers must be USFA members. These tournaments are intended to be a child's first introduction to fencing, and to teach parents what to do at a tournament. It is for BEGINNER fencers in the Youth 10 and Youth 12 age groups.

FRED Announces the Rising Stars #1 Beginner Youth 10 and Youth 12 Tournament October 12, 2008 Fencing Institute of Texas, Inc. 11482 Luna Road, Suite 100, Farmers Branch, TX (972) 444-8498 Fencers must be USFA members. Membership forms will be available at the door. One year youth membership is $60 (USFA year is 1 August to the following July 31st; NEW members joining in April through July will receive a full year of membership plus a few months - this is not available to renewing members). Memberships require a parent/guardian signature. Payment is made directly to the USFA by check or credit card only. Fencers must also have a signed waiver to participate. These tournaments are intended to be a child's first introduction to fencing, and to teach parents what to do at a tournament. It is for BEGINNER fencers in the Youth 10 and Youth 12 age groups. Cumulative points are maintained for the series of tournaments.
