Training with Olympians 2021

Join our coaches and Olympic Team at EPIC Fencing for a fun training event designed to introduce our youth fencers to the process of participating in a competition. Club coaches and our Olympians Alanna Goldie, Eleanor Harvey, and Kelleigh Ryan will lead our youth fencers through the steps of general and fencing-specific competition warm-up activities while explaining the format of a fencing competition. Fencers will be separated into groups based on age and experience level and our experienced coaches and fencers will be in attendance to referee and guide each fencer throughout the process. Our goal with this event is to introduce our youth fencers to what a fencing competition feels like in a friendly and educational way. We strongly encourage all fencers who have participated in classes throughout September and October to join us for a fun day of fencing! We ask that all participants pre-register so we can ensure appropriate age and experience level division based on the number of participants. This event is FREE for EPIC Fencing members and costs $20 for non-members. Electric fencing equipment will be provided. All participants should bring a water bottle and snacks. 1pm-4pm Sunday. Open for all ages. Enter based on your weapon.
