This calls and rule clinic is desgined to help new referees understand basic calls and rule application in the context of actual fencing. BRING YOUR FENCING EQUIPMENT!
This seminar/roundtable is free for all.
Alex Gioiella is a 3 weapon national referee, a former CRI, and a current CRO. Alex spent 4 years as part of the DRDC of the RC and continues to spend time mentoring junior referees and attempting to grow the referee cadre in the midwest and beyond.
This seminar/roundtable is being offered in person to any who wishes to participate. We will examine calls, actions, rule application, and strip management for athletes, coaches, and referees. For everyone participating in person, we ask that you bring your fencing equipment so that you can act out actions in person as well as help to create opportunities for others to referee calls and get real-time feedback.
