Event Logistics
Novice Foil
Fencers must have one year or less of fencing experience. If a fencer began fencing before October 12th, 2018 they are eligible to fence as long as they have not had cumulatively one year of experience including high school, club, or collegiate club fencing experience.
Novice foil will be a dry fencing event throughout pools. All fencers will advance to Direct Elimination. At Tableau of 8, all novice fencers will fence electric.
Event Start Times
Registration close times are subject to change. Event are expected to begin within 15 minutes of event registration closing.
Equipment
Mask checks will be conducted during registration.
Facility
The event will occur at the Recreational Sports Facility. Due to a football game, limited parking is available. Please expect to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of your event start time to find parking.
Liability Waivers
All fencers will be expected to sign a liability waiver at the tournament. Fencers will be given a wristband upon signing the waiver allowing them access in and out of the gym.
Payment
Prepaid and Preregistered Fencers Fees:
First Event: $20
Each additional event: $15
Preregistered but not Prepaid:
First Event: $25
Each additional event: $20
Due to University of California, Berkeley guidelines, we are financially unable to accept cash payments at this tournament due to the high cost of hiring a university approved cashier. Thus, all event payments must be conducted online through the shop.rs.berkeley.edu website. Specific links will be found below.
