Fencers from Manhattan Youth middle school after school programs and invited guest schools fence in NYC’s only public middle school competitions.
This event is ONLY open to fencers from designated after school programs. Invited athletes will receive a registration link from Manhattan Youth or directly from New Amsterdam Fencing Academy. Fencers MUST be fencing for one of our member schools. Fencers must show a member school as their Primary Club. If you already have an AskFRED account and show a different Primary Club, please email the organizers; otherwise, your registration will be cancelled.
All fencers MUST have a completed WAIVER FORM in order to be accepted into the event.
Maximum number of fencers will be 48 for each day.
Fencers should arrive by 9:00 to check in and get suited up and ready to fence. Fencers should have their own jacket, mask, glove, and chest protector and wear suitable athletic shoes. New Amsterdam Fencing Academy will provide plastrons, pants, and electric gear. Manhattan Youth will provide bottled water and pizza.
Family members and friends are encouraged to stay and spectate. If you need to drop your student off, please be available to pick up at any point if they were to finish earlier than the scheduled time. We can not hold students passed the end of the competition time.
