Fencing in the State Games of North Carolina. See "More info" page for eligibility and formats. First event $40, subsequent events $10. Preregistration ends June 10th. After June 10th there is a $20 late fee. Official entry is on the State Games website, not askfred. Entries may also be mailed in. All events are USFA sanctioned, thus participants must be USFA members. One-day memberships must be obtained prior to the event. Participants will be required to show USFA card. Senior event participants must be 13 years old as of December 31 of the current fencing season. Y-12 particpants must between 9 and 12 as of December 31 of the current fencing season. Fencers from contiguous states with reciprocal agreements for State Games, or from States having no State Games of their own, are allowed. Format is one round of pools with 100% promotion into a direct elimination. Awards will be given to top 3 in the Senior event, with further awards to the top 3 Women, Veteran, Junior, and Cadet fencers. Should there be 8 participants in the Women's, Veteran's, Junior, or Cadet categories; a separate competition may be held based on athlete requests.
