Enjoy some fencing in Newhall/Santa Clarita during this holiday weekend, while many are away at the JO's. Offering Y12 events in 3 blades, plus Junior Epee & Saber, Snr. Foil, Senior & Veteran Epee.
The Bridgeport Fencer's Club of Santa Clarita is hosting a tournament for kids and adults, with something for almost everyone during this holiday weekend while many are away at the JO's. We're offering Y12 events for boys and girls in all 3 blades, plus Junior men's & women's epee and saber, Senior mixed epee, Veteran combined epee events. Take a short drive to the Newhall/Santa Clarita area and enjoy a fun day of fencing.

Please pre-register for planning purposes. Online payments are not enabled for this tournament; you may pay at the door.
Please email the organizer for late registrations after the pre-registration deadline.
Late registration and at-the-door walk-on registration fees will be double fees.

(Note: Events with fewer than 3 registrants may be combined)
AGE ELIGIBILITY:
Senior Mixed events - for fencers born in 2011 or earlier
Vet Combined Mixed events - for fencers born 1985 or earlier
Junior events - for fencers born 2005 to 2011
Y12 events will be unsanctioned (no ratings given) for fencers born 2012 to 2015
VENUE: Newhall Community Center, 22421 Market Street, Santa Clarita, CA 91321. Wood gymnasium floors (Non-marking shoes only, please!).
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m.
REGISTRATION: Event fee is $50. Current USA Fencing Competitive or Access membership is required. Join at: https://www.usafencing.org/membership
Tournament fees may be paid at the door by Venmo, credit card, checks or cash. Late registrants (after the deadline) will be double fees ($100 per event).
CHECK-IN: Please arrive one hour before your event to check in and warm up. Masks and gloves will be inspected.
FORMAT: One round of pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination, and no fence-off for 3rd place.
AWARDS: Medals will be awarded to top 4 fencers in each event.
EQUIPMENT: Full fencing uniform is required, including jacket, under-arm protector, fencing knickers, socks completely covering legs below the knickers, shoes with non-marking soles. Fencer must use the appropriate glove, lame' and mask for weapon being fenced. Saber fencers must use USA Fencing approved 800N glove. Chest protectors are required for women. For foil events, chest protectors must have foam padding per USA Fencing standards and bear FIE or armorer's mark. Masks & gloves will be checked by the armorer or bout committee.
