FRED Announces the Kaizen Academy End of Summer Emerging and Rising Stars Tournament Come earn your E! Six or more competitors and someone comes away with a new shiny E for the Unrated tournaments. The Youth tournament can't award ratings for this level. Novice Tournament does not need USA Fencing membership or all fencing equipment. A novice competitor is a fencer who has not participated in a USA Fencing sanctioned tournament. No ratings are awarded for a novice tournament. All USA Fencing sanctioned tournaments need a USA Fencing membership.
