Registration fee is $15.00 and $5.00 for each event. (Cash or check) LATE FEES WILL BE IMPOSED AFTER NOVEMBER 20th. November 21-Dec 2 fees are registration $30 + $10 per event. FEES ARE TRIPLE AT THE DOOR PLEASE PRE-REGISTER. You do not have to PAY until CHECK-IN. (However, you are responsible for payment or giving timely notification of withdrawal.) Format: One round of pools with 100% promotion to simple direct elimination. Top 25% in each event qualify (with a minimum of 3). Fencers will be cleared for USFA Membership with pre-registration. If USFA membership is not shown in the current USFA database, an e-mail or FAX from USFA showing confirmation of current membership in this Division or a new membership form and payment will be required (membership forms for minors require the signature of a parent or legal guardian, the coach may not sign). Receipts from clubs or other tournaments are not acceptable as these membership forms may not have been submitted. Membership forms will be available at the venue. Payment for memberships is made directly to the USFA (bring separate checks for the tournament and membership). All participants must download the WAIVER OF LIABILITY and CONSENT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT FORM from the Division website (http://www.almdiv.org/Operations/waiverconsent.pdf) or obtain a copy from their coach, have a parent or guardian sign, the form, and bring the signed form to the tournament with them. Participants are required to fence in proper fencing attire; current USFA rules will apply. Please note: we are making every attempt to have the timing changed in the boxes for this qualifier. However, if this is not accomplished, all fencers will fence on boxes that are on the same time. Junior Olympics is a NATIONAL championship; the qualifying path to the Junior Olympics requires participants to be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents. USFA provides the division secretary with this information. If you have not received your USFA membership card and apply for the card at the competition, please be prepared to show verification of citizenship status. JUNIOR TEAM EVENT INFORMATION: The Team Events are qualifiers for the USFA 2004-2005 Summer National Championships. Individuals do not qualify for teams, CLUBS qualify for teams. Please have your coach or team captain register the team. Ark-La-Miss Division can auto-qualify up to 4 teams for Summer Nationals. A club may only qualify one team. Events with less than 5 clubs entered will not be fenced. Teams must be composed of fencers all sharing the same primary club and who have represented this club at least once within the season, which may be accomplished within the tournament in which the team is qualfying. There are no mixed division teams, and no "unattached" teams. Team members are declared on Saturday for both Saturday's and Sunday's events. Team forms should be filled out before 9 a.m. on Saturday for Saturday team events and before 3 p.m. for Sunday's events. Age restrictions for Summer Nationals are enforced and vary from the JO quals with the maximum birth year 1986 for Junior. Summer National Championships are NATIONAL championships; the qualifying path to the Summer Nationals requires participants to be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents. USFA provides the division secretary with this information.
