Jackalope Triple Crown

Description The Jackalope Triple Crown is an annual 3-weapon tournament held in Reno Nevada and is hosted by High Desert Fencing Alliance and the Reno Silver Blades Fencing Club. The intent of the tournament is to fence an individual event in each of the three weapons in a single day to determine the Triple Crown Champion. Fencers may choose to compete in any one, two, or all three events. Competing in all 3 weapons is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Please see t-shirt note if you intend to fence all three events. Tournament Format Each event is open to men and women of all levels over the age of 13, and will be fenced in a standard format of pools with 100% up to single elimination DEs. Pre-registration is requested. Fees will be double at the door. Awards Each event will award medals for the top 4. A point standing is kept for fencers that compete in all three events so that a custom trophy may be awarded to the overall champion, only fencers that compete in all 3 events are eligible for the trophy. Each years Jackalope trophy is custom built. IF there are 15 or more fencers that that are eligible for the Jackalope trophy then a $100 cash prize will accompany the trophy. T-Shirt T-Shirts are available for pre-order with registration. T-shirt design changes each year to match the trophy. PLEASE NOTE: If you are competing in all 3 events you will receive a free t-shirt at the door. Please email the tournament organizer with your t-shirt size so we can set one aside for you. Preregistration opens on 04/20/2010. Preregistration closes on 05/24/2010. Preregistration fee is $20 per event.
