San Diego Cup - Youth Foil #5

The 5th Official San Diego Cup Youth Foil Event of the season. Sanctioned by the San Diego Division of USA Fencing for Y14, Y12 & Y10 events. Unsanctioned Y8.
Registration Fee: $45 pre-paid through AskFred, $60 cash at the door.
Official San Diego Cup Youth event. Sanctioned by the San Diego Division of USA Fencing. (Y8 events are unsanctioned). Medals given to top 3 athletes. Points for all SD Cup youth events will accumulate over the season to name a San Diego Cup Season Champion for each event

11:30 am Y12 Men's Foil
11:30 am Y12 Women's Foil
2 pm Y10 Men's Foil
2 pm Y10 Women's Foil
4:30 pm Y8 Mixed Foil (unsanctioned)

The Venue
LionHeart Fencing Academy – 1331 N. Cuyamaca St, El Cajon CA 92020
Plenty of parking spots front and back of facility. Results will be posted in real time in the venue, and uploaded to AskFred upon completion of events. Anything left at the end of the day (Lost & Found) will be thrown out within two days if not claimed.
Limits on Events
All events are capped to 21 fencers. We will not accept walk-ins if the event is already full. If the event you want to attend is full, please contact the organizer to be put on the waitlist.

On the day of the event, if less than 5 fencers are registered for one event, the men’s and women’s events will be combined into a mixed event but with separated final results for San Diego Cup season point system.
Tournament Format:
Standard - Single round of pools, 100% promotion to single Direct elimination table. There will be medals for the top three finishing fencers in each event.
Equipment Check:
Mask and glove checks will be done at the armory table. Gloves with holes, rips, tape or lose seams will not be approved. Weapons to be inspected on strip by the referee. Mask retaining straps and socks over the knee are required. Two working weapons and two working body cords are required on strip at all times.
Parents and Spectators:
You are welcome in the lobby and on the floor in designated safe areas to cheer on your athletes. At LionHeart Academy, we value respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship from everyone—athletes, parents, and spectators alike. Please remember that referees and organizers are here to ensure a fair and positive experience for all. In line with USA Fencing regulations, any unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a warning or, if necessary, removal from the venue.

Entry fee is $45 if pre-registered or $60 for walk-in. Pre-registration closes two days before the tournament. Walk-in payments are cash only.
