ISU Cantaloupe Open

ISU Fencing Club's fall tournament. As always, individuals that place 1st win a cantaloupe in addition to the medal. Location: Beyer 301 - registration (directions below) fencing will be held in Beyer 301 & 206 Cost: $15 base plus $5 per event ($20 for one weapon) payable at check-in. Events Scheduled: Mixed Foil (9 am) Mixed Epee (noon) Mixed Novice Foil - 1 year or less of experience AND unrated(3pm) Mixed Saber (3pm) Preregistration is not required. We prefer that you either preregistration on this site or e-mail us that you are coming. Preregistration opens on 09/08/2007. Preregistration closes on 09/28/2007. DIRECTIONS: Click on the link in top box labeled "Map to Beyer Hall, Iowa State University Ames IA 50011" to use Google maps to get directions to ISU (use "D"). Unfortunately Google Maps does not know the location of buildings on the ISU campus. Alternative entrance is the fire escape that leads straight to Beyer 301, but it can only be used if you come before 9am. There may be fencing in the Beyer Gym, but you must go to room 301 to register. SPECIAL OFFER to novices from the ISU Fencing Club: If you pay club dues ($15) by Wed, Sept 26th and preregister on this site for novice foil (or tell Lada, the treasurer, to preregister you when you pay club dues), then you can fence novice foil for FREE.
