Brooklyn Fencing In-Club Competition

Events Scheduled (Close of Registration): Mixed Youth Foil 2:00 PM Mixed Junior Foil 2:00 PM Preregistration opens on 11/01/2016. Preregistration closes on 11/18/2016. The above times are NOT start times! Events generally start fencing about 30 minutes after close of registration, sometimes sooner. Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes prior to close of registration so that you may have time to stretch and warm up. If you will be late, please email us or call us! Entry & Eligibility $30 pre-register. We encourage you to pre-register. Cash/check only; no credit cards accepted for entry fees. No refunds! If you prepay and need to withdraw for any reason, you must notify us via e-mail (info@brooklynfencing.com) by noon the Friday before the event in order to receive a credit for a future event. This event is only for BkFC fencers. Open only to those taken Intermediate classes, but some beginners may participate under the approval of the coaches. Competition Format One round of seeding pools with 100% promotion to direct elimination. WEAPONS WILL BE CHECKED! All foils must be working and pass the weight test. All fencers MUST have their own equipment. Fencers may be able to rent equipment from the club (please inquire) LOCATION 600 Degraw Street (between 3rd & 4th Ave) - Closest train is the R at Union Street, three blocks away. UPDATED PARKING INFO: If you have trouble finding street parking (which you may not, we're just covering the bases), the closest Union Street parking lot is closed; however, there are several lots on 4th Ave south of Degraw and one on Union Street between 6th & 7th Aves (http://nycparking.spplus.com/Brooklyn-798-800-Union-Street.html#Tab_coupon-rates). You can also park at the Atlantic Center http://www.ggmcparking.com/locations/details/atlantic-center and either walk 8 blocks or take the R one stop.
