This tournament is for beginner fencers who have never competed in a sanctioned tournament.
If you are a beginner fencer and thinking about competing, but have never been to a sanctioned tournament, this is the place to start. Competing in the sport of fencing is a lot different from sparring at your club. Fencing tournaments can be very confusing and intimidating if you don't know what to expect Each of our events will start with a 30 minute presentation for fencers and their families explaining how fencing tournaments are organized and run, followed by an actual tournament with medals for the top four finishers. This tournament has been recognized by USA Fencing, the national governing body for the sport,
for its usefulness in helping beginner fencers make the transition from club fencing to competition.
