Come join us for our first Summer Sizzler event. Get one more tournament in before the end of the 2012-2013 season. MAP NOTE: Some locators have us at 1004 Piedmont Hwy and some (Google Maps) at 1104 Piedmont Hwy. We are in a blue building at the corner of Piedmont Hwy and Blakely Rd. Events Scheduled: Y14 Unsanctioned Mixed Foil E & Under Senior Mixed Epee E & Under Senior Mixed Foil Preregistration opens on 06/20/2013. Preregistration closes on 07/19/2013. Entry fee is $25 for the first event, $10 for each additional event. The Y14 Mixed Foil event is unsanctioned and no USFA competitive membership is required. Current (2012-2013) USFA competitive membership is required for the two E & Under events; you may join or renew at the door. These two events are officially sanctioned by the South Carolina Division of the USFA. USFA rules followed. Full regulation uniform is required, including underarm protector, fencing pants, and long socks. We will be conducting mask safety checks upon check-in. All foil fencers must have masks with conductive bibs. Event format is one round of pools, followed by direct elimination. There will be no fence-off for third place so medals will be awarded to the top 4 finishers in each event (Gold, Silver and two Bronze). Our location features state of the art sprung floors and air conditioning. For our Summer Sizzler, Foothills Fencing Academy will be providing free Gatorade and Sweet Tea for all participating athletes. Cups will be provided or else bring your own mug or bottle to refill from the coolers.
