Senior unsanctioned tournament with Open Foil, Novice Foil, and Novice Épée events
2026 UBC FOIL OPEN
Presented by the UBC Fencing Club
The UBC Fencing Club would like to invite fencers to the UBC Foil Open. The tournament will consist of an open senior event in foil and novice senior events in foil and épée.
Events Scheduled:
Senior Novice Mixed Épée - check-in closes at 9:30 AM
Senior Novice Mixed Foil - check-in closes at 12:00 PM
Senior Open Mixed Foil - check-in closes at 2:00 PM
Events begin as soon as possible after close of check-in.

---------- NOVICE EVENTS: ----------
Novice events are restricted to participants with less than one year of fencing experience and no tournament experiance.
---------- EQUIPMENT: ----------
All entrants must wear proper protective equipment (fencing jacket, sous plastron, breeches, knee-high socks, mask, and glove) and non-marking indoor shoes during competition.
---------- FEES AND REQUIREMENTS: ----------
Cost: $25 per event
UBC Fencing Club members receive a $5 discount on their event fees.
Payment will be collected at the registration table on the day of the tournament. We accept cash, e-transfer, debit, and credit.
---------- SEEDING: ----------
Initial seeding for Senior Open Mixed Foil will be based on BC Unsanctioned Events League 2025-2026 points. Novice events will be seeded randomly.

The Waiver of Liability Form must be signed by all participants or their legal guardians prior to the competition. Additional waiver information will be announced soon.
