Philadelphia Fencers Club: Vet, Unrated Epee

Registration and Fees
Credit card payment is required at pre registration.
Event fee is $55 per event.
Please pay when registering. Refunds can be issued for timely withdrawals made before pre registration closes. AskFRED does not process online payments after initial registration.
If you are unsure about attending, you may pre register without payment, unregister, then re register and pay as long as this is done before pre registration closes on the Friday before the event.
Payment at check in is permitted and will incur a late fee.
Event Cancellations
Events with fewer than six pre registered competitors as of the Friday before the event will be canceled.
Refunds will be issued for canceled events.
No shows are not eligible for refunds.
Unpaid Pre Registrations
Unpaid registrations at the close of pre registration on Friday are incomplete.
All unpaid registrations after Friday, including day of, incur a late fee.
Membership
A current USA Fencing Access or Competitive membership is required.
Collegiate competitors must be on an official USA Fencing roster. Otherwise a Competitive membership is required.
Uniform and Equipment
Full uniform required. Equipment must be clean, in good repair, and correct for handedness.
Jacket must overlap knickers by at least 10 cm while on guard. Waistband or untucked shirt visible means the uniform does not fit.
Sleeves must remain inside the glove when extending.
Knickers must cover the knee when lunging.
Foil lames must run straight from hip to croissard and may not sit above the hips in back.
Correct mask required. No foil masks in epee and no epee masks in foil.
Plastron on weapon arm side.
Glove covering approximately half the forearm.
Long socks past the knickers.
Approved padded chest protector for foil when required.
Equipment that does not fit may not be used. This is a liability issue.
Tournament Requirements
Two weapons, two body cords, and two mask cords where applicable, all functional and passing inspection.
No armory services available.
Format
One round of pools with all promoting to direct elimination unless announced otherwise.
Arrival
Venue opens one hour before first check in close.
Arrive at least one hour before your check in closes.
