AFM Youth Epee Cup - Event #1

AFM Youth Epee Cup for Y8/Y10/Y12/Y14 epee fencers. This is event #1 in the series of several tournaments. At the conclusion of the series at the end of the season, a trophy will be awarded for each category based on the overall performance in the series. These events are perfect events for not-so-experienced fencers as they will run in a friendly and supportive environment. Please note that the event start times are tentative and might be adjusted two days before the competition based on actual number of participants. Also if there will be not enough participants in any Y10/12/14 event (less than 6) then we will combine the same age events to give more adequate competitive experience to the fencers. Medals will be awarded to the top 4 fencers in each event - one Gold, one Silver and Two Bronze medals. This is a first tournament in a series of 3 or 4 tournaments we plan to run during the season. Based on the overall performance of the fencers in all events, we will award a trophy to the winners in each category. The trophy will be awarded in the last tournament in the season. The points from each individual competition will be based on that competition's final placement and on number of competitors. with 1st place getting 100 points. For example, if in the event there were 25 participants, then 1st place will get 100 points, 2nd place - 96 points, etc. Points from all tournaments in the series will be added up to determine the winners in each age/gender category. Payment should be processed by askFred to be registered. Unpaid entries will be counted as walk-ins and the walk-in fees will be charged (in cash or check only). Event fees are $50 per event. Walk-in fees are $70 per event Refunds: withdrawal and refund requests should be made prior to 12/16/2021. On or after 12/17/2021 refunds will be not processed regardless of the reason. Fees are refunded $45 per event ($5 are kept due to the askFred fees.) To request a refund, please send an email with your fencer's name and your home address. Checks with refunds will be issued no later than 2 weeks after event completion and will be mailed to the address that you specified in the refund request. COVID protocols (subject to change at any time): - Everybody must wear a face mask, fully covering mouth and nose - All participants must show either proof of full vaccination or no more than 72 hours negative PCR test results - We will not be able to allow the entrance of anyone who did not follow these guidelines and will not be able to refund the fees for non-admission.
