GFA is hosting small sanctioned open Mixed Sabre, Mixed Foil & Mixed Epee events for unrated fencers for Friday Night Fights! Come out for some local action and have some stabby fun!

Greensboro Fencing Academy welcomes all unrated Foil, Epee & Saber fencers (age 13 and older) to our open events.

  1. Registration for the tournament will close on Wednesday 10pm before the tournament.
  2. This is done in order to get an accurate number of competitors and be able to adjust start times as needed and arrange for referees.
  3. This also means that you may be refused if registering late or at the door.
  4. The listed start times are not set and may change due to participation, and some events may be combined.
  5. Start times are "Reg. Close times". If we need to make changes, we will communicate via email on the Thursday before the tournament.


Awards are given to the top 4 fencers in each event.


Proof or USA Fencing membership (access membership is enough) is required. http://www.usfencing.org/membership

  1. Please check/update your membership with USA Fencing and your AskFRED profile to correctly reflect your membership status.


Fencers who do not have a USA Fencing membership will be required to complete a membership/payment prior to the tournament start. This could be a considerable delay to the start time for your event. Therefore, we ask the fencers to please do this prior to arriving on Saturday.
