Asheville Spring C&Under Tournament

Welcome to Fencing Club Asheville's third annual event! This will be the third of our beginner series of events, where we will be running sanctioned events with the specific purpose of helping beginner fencers gain a bit more "real-world", formalized tournament experience in a smaller-scale, lower-pressure environment with an eye towards teaching and preparing fencers for larger, more formal events.

Tournament Registration: $20

Per-Event Fee: $35

Registration Cap: 25 fencers for each men's event, and 15 for each women's event, with the possibility of increasing the cap on either event depending on registration volume.

Due to the registration cap, online payment is required for a valid registration.

UPDATE April 8th: With a few days remaining and due to more limited referee availability, we've reduced the registration cap to 21 fencers per event. We aren't particularly close to that number right now on any of the events, but are making this change to ensure we can run the best quality event with the staffing levels we have on hand for the weekend in case there are any last minute surges in registrations.

We are holding a Division 2 event for each gender, and although the events are currently scheduled for two separate times, if the registration of either event is particularly low, we'll reach out to fencers to inquire on merging events together. We will do so no sooner than 2 weeks before the event.

UPDATE: We did end up combining the Men's and Women's Epee events into a mixed event due to registration volume.

Doors open at 8AM each day.

Fencing will begin ASAP after registration closes!

A partial weapons check will be done at the armory - masks, gloves and lames.

The event will be hosted in the gym at Asheville Catholic School - free parking is fairly abundant and can be found at and around the venue.
