Each Club may field 3 teams per weapon. Team members competing ONLY in the Club Team competition must submit a Summer National Championships Individual Entry Form with payment of the $50 registration fee by the deadline. No entries will be taken at the Summer National Championships. Club Team members must be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents who have not represented another country in the past three years, and have represented the club in USFA competitions this season. All Club Teams and team members must be current club and competitive USFA members respectively. Senior Composite Teams are only allowed at the Summer National Championships if no club from that geographic division has registered. Fencers on the composite teams must be from the same geographic USFA division. For Veteran Teams: The Veteran team event will be an open event at the 2010 Summer Nationals. There will be no qualifying competition for this event. Any three or four athletes who are age-eligible, birth year of 1969 or before may comprise a Veteran team without regard for club representation or division membership. Entry must be complete with team member names in order to be processed. Any changes to team member names must be received by June 28, 2010. For the Junior Club Team Event, there is no classification requirement but Team members must have a birth year of 1991–1997. The Team Entry deadline is May 17, 2010 to have the Entry processed at regular fees. The total amount due, per Team Entry, submitted by the first deadline is $120.00. The Team Entry triple fee period is May 18-24, 2010. The total amount due, per Team Entry, submitted during the triple fee period is $360.00. Written requests for a Team Withdrawal must be received by Monday, June 28, 2010. If the withdrawal request is submitted by the deadline, a Team Event fee refund of $60.00 will be processed 4-6 weeks following the tournament. Team Events (Athlete's Handbook, Chapter 2) USFA Member Clubs qualify teams to these competitions through the following path: • Clubs qualify based on the number of different USFA Member Clubs represented at each of the Division’s Senior Team, and Under 19 Team qualifying competitions (See chart below). OR # Clubs 2 3 4-5 6-10 >10 # Qualifiers 2 3 4 5 6 • Be a USFA member club that placed in the top 4 at the previous season’s National Team Championships in that category of team championships • No more than 3 teams per club per event will be allowed to enter. • Members of the U19 TEAM must be born between 1991 and 1997 • Members of the Senior TEAM must be born no later than 1996 and the athlete must have represented the Club at a competition during the 2009-2010 Season.
