---)-PROGRAM-(---


The camp begins Monday July 27th at 9:30am and will finish Sunday August 2nd with the "Challenge International de Bordeaux" competition (award ceremony scheduled at 4:00 pm). The program includes:


FENCING:

Video analysis and mental aspects of performance, tactical footwork and exercises, fencing drills, structured and theme bouting, critical debriefings and individual feedback.


TYPICAL SCHEDULE:

8:20 to 9:20 am - individual lessons (optional)

9:00 am – Yoga & stretching (optional)

9:30 am – Collective warm up

9:45 am to 11:45 pm – Structured bouting session

11:45 am – Lunch or Game (depending on group assignment)

1:30 to 5:05 pm – afternoon workshops (mental performance, footwork, drills, themed bouting)

5:15 to 5:35 – Stretching (optional)

5:20 to 7:20 am – individual lessons (optional)

7:30 pm – Dinner (optional)

6:00 to 8:00 pm (July 30th only) – evening open bouting session (open to all campers, coaches and the top junior and senior French local fencers)


ACTIVITIES:

Tuesday afternoon: tour of Bordeaux old town. Thursday: a beach day with the option to walk to the farmer’s market and around the picturesque vacation town of Arcachon. There will also be one game night, and a wine tasting dinner (for 21 and older) on Friday. Additionally, daily activities will be suggested for parents and chaperones.

Healthy and delicious lunch and dinner are cooked by our in-house professional Chef, Charle-Julien and his team. In 2025, they cooked more than 1500 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables. Lunches are included in the camp fee. Dinners are available for an additional fee.

SEBASTIEN DOS SANTOS - camp director (speaks English, French and Portuguese): Women's Epee National Coach for USA fencing. Former Men's Epee National Coach (2012 ME team World champion) and Director of Epee (2018 WE team World champion), 5-time Olympic coach for fencing and modern pentathlon for the US, France and Brazil.


AMBRE CIVIERO (speaks French, English and Spanish): Three-time Olympic referee. Master degree in Sport performance (INSEP). Former U14 National Coach for Switzerland. Currently coaches at Sierre (SUI).


MATHIEU SISSLER (speaks English, French and German): sport psychologist and mental trainer. Member of the French Fencing Federation governing board. Coaches international level fencers at Team Passe Avant (France).


JACKY FALLUT (speaks French and English): Former National Coach for France and technical advisor for the French Fencing Federation.


FREDERIC FENOUL (speaks French, English, German and Dutch): Former National Coach for the German Women Epee national team and the Belgium Men & Women Epee national team. Currently coaching at LEO Fencing (USA).


JULIAN RUEDA (speaks Spanish and English): National Coach for the Colombian Men’s Epee team. Head coach at LEO Fencing (USA). His club students have achieved more than 30 national and international medals including 2023 World Cup medalist Isabel Di Tella (ARG).


ANNA MROSZCZAK (speaks Polish, French, English): Current member of the Polish senior traveling team, Junior team European Champion, Coach at ASM Meudon (France).


MICHAEL BINDAS (speaks French, English): Head coach of the NCAA New Jersey Institute of Technology team. Coach at Medeo Fencing (USA).


WERNER HUYSMANS (speaks Dutch, English and French): Coaches international level fencers at Parcival Leuven (Belgium).


DMYTRO KARYUCHENKO – (speaks English, Ukrainian, Polish, Russian): three-time Olympian and more than 20 times international medalist for Ukraine including winning team gold at World Champion in 2015. Coaches international level fencers including European Championships medalists.


KENNY NOPENS – (speaks English): Head Coach at Wasatch Fencing (USA). Three of Kenny’s fencers have competed with the US World Championship teams, including Dylan Nollner former senior national team member and Tatijana Stewart, silver cadet individual and gold team medalist.


(TBC) HIPPOLYTE BOUILLOT (speaks French, English): 2015 Junior World Champion. Coaches international level fencers at VGA St Maur (France).


THIBAULT BRETON (speaks French and English): video analyst for the Belgium Federation and Strategist for Neisser Loyola (2024 Paris Olympic Games). Ranked top 50 on the French senior national point list.


ASHELEE RAMUSSEN (speaks English): US licensed Massage therapist who employs trigger point, pain management therapy, Swedish massage, assisted stretching, kinesiology taping.


PIERRICK ROUSSEAU (speaks French and English): Strength and Conditioning coach at the Bordeaux Junior National training Center. Ranked top 32 on the French senior national point list.


BRUNO GOOSSENS (speaks French and English): French licensed Doctor. Vet World Champion.

650 euros. Fee includes: 7 days of camp, a pair of fencing socks, lunchtime meals, all activities, and the entry fee for the "Challenge international de Bordeaux" on August 2nd.
