RCFC and SAS present a series of six open tournaments. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the season for the best series results!

Event Schedule:

  • 9:30 AM - Doors open
  • 10:00 AM - Senior Mixed Foil
  • 2:00 PM - Senior Men's Epee, Senior Women's Epee

All times are close of check-in. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your check-in time.

Format of each event will be one round of pools, 100% promotion to direct elimination, with medals for the top 4.

This season we are splitting the epee events into separate men's and women's events. We may do the same for foil based on feedback from fencers.

This tournament is part of a series of six WWC events:

  • September 23, 2023 - WWC #1 at RCFC
  • November 4-5, 2023 - Leon Auriol Open at SAS
  • December 16, 2023 - Home for the Holidays Open at RCFC
  • February 11, 2024 - WWC #4 at SAS
  • April 14, 2024 - WWC #5 at SAS
  • May 18-19, 2024 - Rain City Open at RCFC

Entry fee is $35 per event, or $170 for the entire series of six tournaments. Epee and foil entry fees are charged separately. RCFC members: let us if you would prefer to have the entry fee billed to your account.

There will prizes (to be determined) for the best results across the series. You must fence at least 4 events of the series to qualify for series prizes.

Current (2023-2024) USA Fencing membership is required. A Competitive membership or Access level membership is sufficient. If necessary, please join or renew online at https://member.usafencing.org/ before the event, to speed up check-in.

Full regulation uniform, including underarm protector, fencing pants and long socks, is required.

All foil fencers at all competition levels must have masks with conductive bibs. RCFC has electric foil masks, mask cords, and retrofit kits for BG "Olympic" masks available for sale. Epee fencers may not use a foil or saber mask with any conductive surface.

Foil fencers who wear a hard plastic chest protector must use an FIE-approved padded protector. We have a limited quantity of the new protectors available for sale. Chest protectors are still required for female fencers, optional for male fencers.

Age eligibility: This tournament is for fencers born in 2010 or earlier.
