7th Annual Orange & Blue

ALL FENCERS MUST HAVE CURRENT USA FENCING COMPETITIVE MEMBERSHIP. WALK-IN POLICY: Fencers who did not register by Thursday, 11/17, and still wish to compete may do so for increased fees: first event $50, subsequent events $40. PREPAYMENT: Prepayment through AskFred will be required. All preregistrations that have not prepaid through AskFred will be deleted the night of 11/17, and walk-in rates will be charged to anyone who has not prepaid by that time. REFUND POLICY: There will be no refunds offered after November 12th!!! EVENT CAPS: 84 for epee events, 70 for foil events, 56 for saber events. 100% promotion to Direct Elimination bracket. COVID-19 POLICY: The UF Fencing club will follow USFA guidelines and policies with regards to covid-19 safety precautions. Currently, masks are required when not on strip. WAIVER POLICY: In accordance with UF policies, the Orange & Blue 2022 Waiver MUST be filled out by all competitors. Competitors under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian signature. WEAPON AND EQUIPMENT CHECK: We will check masks and gloves for all three weapons. Saber fencers must use an 800N glove as per USA Fencing regulation. We will check mask strap elasticity. New safety rules on the Leon Paul Exchange masks have now been implemented. The extra head strap at the bottom of these masks are required for safety reasons. If presented without the strap, the mask can not be used, until a strap is obtained. OFFICIALS: If you wish to referee, please contact UF Fencing at fencing.uf.tourneys@gmail.com. PARKING AND VENUE: Free parking will be available next to and across the street from the Southwest Recreation Center on campus. FOOD AND DRINK: Food and drink with the exception of water are NOT permitted inside the gym. Food and drinks other than water may be kept and consumed outside in the picnic area. This is the policy of the gym space we are using. COLLEGE STUDENTS: The University of Florida Fencing Team happily welcomes all collegiate fencers from across the southeastern region.
