J.O Qualifiers (cadet & Junior) events are limited to Arizona Division members. Open Epee, Div2 Foil, Div3 Sabre, & Youth Team events are open to out of state Fencers.
This is the official Arizona Division Qualification Tournament for the USFA Junior Olympic Championships to be held on February 12-15, 2010 in Memphis, TN. Unless you are an automatic qualifier through national point standings, all competitors at the Junior Olympics must qualify through their local division's qualification tournament. Open Epee, Div2 Foil, Div3 Saber and team Youth 12-14 are open to out of State Fencers USFA You must have a current and valid competitive USFA membership and show your USFA card or have proof that payment has been made. SAFETY Equipment Inspection: All masks, body cords, saber mask cables, lames and conductive saber gloves/gauntlets will be inspected and must meet USFA regulations. Please note that fencers are required by the rules to have 2 body cords, 2 mask cables and 2 weapons available when on strip. Your spare cords must be inspected, so please remember to bring them to the Equipment Inspection table at the tournament. Therefore, the registration and event fees have been reduced from what they were last year.) SPECIAL NOTICE for Junior events You must be born in the years 1990 to 1996 to compete in JUNIOR competitions. All Cadet events You must be born in the years 1993 to 1996 to compete in CADET competitions.
